Inglot Profile
Inglot, a cosmetic brand based in Poland that has been on the rise for a few years in the U.S., offers an exceptional catalog of cosmetics ranging from face to nails and everything in between. Products are offered in either individual packaging or through Inglot's "freedom system", which enables users to create their own unique palettes.
I have a been a long-time fan of Inglot as I'm sure you've noticed as a regularly use their products in tutorials. I was recently given the opportunity to review some of their new Spring 2014 Freedom System Matte Lipsticks to share with you. They were kind enough to send along 8 shades.

Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick Reviews - 501, 502, 506, 513, 514, 515, 518, 520
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 501
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - coral red
Finish - matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - super lightweight, comfortable, highly pigmented, not drying
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - This is a great red if you're looking for a fresh and fun red shade for spring or summer. It skews a tad more coral (not orange) in person compared to the swatch above, but it is definitely in the red family. I recommend wearing this on hydrated lips because it is a matte formula, but I did not find it drying.
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 502
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - light coral-pink
Finish - matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - lightweight; slightly drying; recommend applying to hydrated, exfoliated lips over liner for more even coverage
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - This shade is right on trend for spring/summer 2014. It skews a tad darker on my lips in the swatches above than it looks in person, despite the fact my lips are very unpigmented. I think this will be popular shade for those looking for a fresh almost salmon colored lippy.
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 506
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - watermelon-pink
Finish - semi-matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - lightweight and comfortable, pigmented, vibrant (in person)
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - This shade is fantastic! I'm a huge fan of all shades of pink lipsticks, but for some reason I often tend to favor the more watermelon-toned shades. This color reminds me of a block of Watermelon Wave Bubblicious (Remember that back in the day? It was my favorite)--yum!
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 513
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - white-based light pink
Finish - matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - best when applied to exfoliated, hydrated lips; liner would help achieve a more even appearance; lightweight on lips and slightly drying
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - While this isn't a shade I would personally wear on its own, I absolutely love this for mixing in with pinks, reds and purples! On its own it can be a tad tricky and works best when applied to properly prepped lips and over liner as it is difficult to achieve completely even coverage with it on its own..
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 514
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - vibrant fuchsia (skews a tad lighter and more subdued on my lips above for some reason)
Finish - matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - lightweight and pigmented, exfoliate prior to wear as it clings to dry skin
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - This is definitely a great shade for those that love fuchsia. For some reason when I swatched it, it translated a bit lighter in my pictures than it looked in person. It had great pigmentation and is a must for all of you fuchsia lovers!
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 515
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - medium purple with slight magenta undertone
Finish - matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - amazing pigmentation, non-drying, comfortable, lightweight on the lip, smooth and creamy
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - While none of the colors were hard or overly firm, this particular shade was notably creamy during application. The pigmentation was fantastic and it looked beautiful on the lips! If you like the idea of wearing purple lipstick, but haven't found you like how straight purple looks, this is a great shade as it has a slight pink or magenta undertone to it. Great shade.
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 518
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - vibrant medium-deep pink
Finish - matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - great pigmentation, comfortable, lightweight and creamy
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - This color translates a bit more vibrant in person than in pictures. It is absolutely lovely if you like deeper, yet vibrant pinks. It is very well pigmented and applies beautifully.
Inglot Freedom System Matte Lipstick 520
Product Type - matte lipstick pan
Shade - medium blue
Finish - matte
Scent - light berry (not detectable on lips really)
On the Lip - fairly good pigmentation, comfortable, creamy consistency, best over hydrated lips with liner
Price - $9
Where to Buy - InglotUSA.com
My Thoughts - This is a fantastic blue. While I don't typically wear blue on my lips, it is phenomenal for mixing to achieve slightly more blue-toned pinks or to create purples. If you're looking for a good blue lippy and plan to wear this without mixing, I would suggest wearing it over a complementary liner to achieve even coverage and a super true-to-pan effect. While my lips are pretty unpigmented, I had to apply 2-3 coats to achieve 100% opacity without liner.
Final Recap
Price - $9 retail (pan only, does not include palette)

Final Thoughts - I've been a long-time hoarder of Inglot's Freedom System lipstick pans, so I'm happy to see additional shades released with matte finishes this time! While I prefer the look of lipsticks in tubes, I personally only apply my lipstick with brushes so pans are far more convenient--and mobile! These mattes are great. I am not a fan of matte lipsticks that are super heavy or feel as though they're cracking with wear. For the most part, the majority of these were comfortable and applied beautifully. I love how lightweight all of these shades were. I always recommend exfoliating and hydrating lips prior to applying matte lippies to achieve the best final results and while some of these were a bit less particular than others, I would say the same rules apply with these.
All in all I think these are a great addition to the Inglot lippy lineup and recommend grabbing these for personal and/or professional use!
On a side note, Inglot's Freedom System palettes are fantastic. Perhaps a tad heavy if you're a pro and have to hold your palette in one hand for long periods, but really great quality otherwise!
