Milani Profile

Milani is a well-known drugstore brand that creates everything from eyeliner to polish. They often feature some of the most on-trend colors and products.

For Spring, they've released a number of fabulous lip products including these Lip Intense Liquid Color lippies. These are releasing this month and I know some stores have already been seen carrying them.

Price

These retail for $6.49 (.2 fl oz)

Where to Buy

You may be able to find these now in stores that carry Milani Cosmetics--I seem to have the best luck at CVS.

Milani Lip Intense Liquid Color Spring 2014 Swatches and Review

Product Type

These are liquid lipsticks that come with a doe foot applicator in a tube.

Scent/Flavor

I found that the two shades I received had different scents:

  • Fiery Coral - fruity smell
  • Pink Rave - this had a medicinal scent that wasn't awful, but wasn't as pleasant as Fiery Coral

Shades

I received 2 different shades--Fiery Coral and Pink Rave.

On the Lips

These were incredibly easy to apply using the doe foot applicator. Sometimes I find liquid lipsticks are a bit finicky with applicators of this kind, but these were a breeze. Once these set, they dry down to a nearly matte finish. They are very comfortable on the lips--lightweight and not drying. I did get some slight feathering, so I suggest using a clear lip liner around the perimeter of your lips if this is a common issue for you as it is for me.

Please note: It has always been my policy not to note wear length as I personally have unusually short wear-time with all lip product due to the texture of my skin unless I use additional product and techniques--which would not result in an accurate review.

Final Thoughts

I am so impressed by these! The pigmentation was amazing and the finish was super flattering. Applying these was a breeze and I found wearing them to be comfortable. I can very easily see these competing with some high-end liquid lippies this spring and potentially coming out on top. As with all Milani products, the price is very budget-friendly--another reason why I can see these being very popular.

I highly recommend grabbing these if you can! I plan to see if I can find them at a store near me so I can grab a few of the shades I didn't receive.

What do you think? Do these interest you?

    1. I thought that was interesting, too lol. I know sometimes brands will try to match fruit-named shades to complementary scents, but this was unexpected :)
