Yon-Ka Paris is a skincare brand that offers an incredible variety of products for your face, body, and sun exposure. Products are geared towards both men and women and includes primarily natural and botanical ingredients. From what I've seen of the brand, they cater towards all types of skin including normal, dry, aging, blemish-prone, etc.

If you want baby-bottom smooth skin, their products are definitely worth a peek!

Yon-Ka Paris Creme 83

Product Type

Creme 83 is a daily face lotion for skin that is dry, sensitive and/or red. This is part of Yon-Ka's Age Defense line. It is composed of 93% natural ingredients.

Scent

This is going to sound odd, but remember the original Noxzema? Do people still use that? This smells almost exactly like it to me! I loved Noxzema back when I was a teen, so I find this scent to be pleasant. The scent is not very strong on the face and it dissipates as it dries. 

On the Face

This is a nice light product that is midway between a cream and lotion to me. It is light enough to almost be a lotion, but firm enough consistency-wise that it's nearer to a cream. It smooths easily into the skin and absorbs pretty quickly. It is instantly hydrating and I did not find this irritating to my sensitive skin. This is light enough that it can easily be layered under makeup. 

Essential Ingredients

• Calendula, limeflower: soothing    
• Olive oil, beeswax: nourishing - protecting
• Vitamins E, C and A: anti-oxidants - regenerating    
• Yon-Ka Quintessence (essential oils of lavender, geranium, rosemary, cypress and thyme): vitalizing - balancing

My Thoughts

This is a fabulous daily face lotion that hydrated my skin well without irritation. I did find that using this in collaboration with the other Yon-Ka products I tested resulted in improved skin texture overall. For those that suffer from dry or sensitive skin, I think this is worth a try if you don't prefer perfumed lotions.

Yon-Ka Paris Guarana Scrub 

Product Type

Guarana Scrub is an exfoliating and detoxifying facial scrub meant for all skin types. It is made up of 96% natural ingredients

Scent

This has a botanical, non-flowery smell to it.

On the Face

This has a fairly fine grit to it, but you can feel how powerful an exfoliator it is as you massage it into your face. This buffed any dead or dull skin right off my face and left it feeling amazingly soft. I used this over the course of 1.5 weeks (several times as it is recommended you use it 2-3 times per week) and it noticeably softened and improved the texture of my skin. 

Essential Ingredients

• Guarana and organic brown rice micro-beads: exfoliating – detoxifying 
• Vegetable glycerin: hydrating 
• Cornflower, calendula, chamomile, linden, German chamomile, St. John's wort:  softening - soothing
• Essential oils of geranium, lavender and rosemary:  toning phyto-aromatic effects

My Thoughts

I love good face scrubs, especially as I get a bit older! This was a powerful enough exfoliator that I felt and saw a noticeable difference with use, but it was not harsh enough to cause irritation. As my skin is sensitive, I have to be careful not to "abuse" my skin. I've found some facial scrubs to be too harsh in the past, but it was not the case with this one. As I do not suffer from acne or any other skin conditions (my skin is sensitive and sometimes I still get a little eczema), I don't know how this would work for someone with more severe skin conditions and it is probably best to consult Yon-Ka or the authorized retailer you purchase from.

Yon-Ka Paris Gommage 305

Product Type

Gommage 305 is a a multi-purpose, non-abrasive face scrub meant for dry and sensitive skin. It is designed to exfoliate, hydrate, purify and soothe skin. This is made up of 94% natural ingredients.

Scent

This has a botanical scent mixed with lime and a slight bitterness at the end.

On the Face

This is a gel-like scrub. Essentially, you put a decent amount on your face, allow it to sit for a few minutes, then massage it off with a circular motion. As you do this, bits of the dried gel fall away and exfoliate your skin in the process. I've used similar products in the past and the results have always been great. This left my skin feeling supple and exfoliated. 

Essential Ingredients

• Carob, brown algae derivative  exfoliating - scrub
• White nettle: soothing      
• Essential oil of lime and bornéol: purifying – clearing complexion
• Plant glycerine: hydrating

My Thoughts

I love face scrubs/exfoliators like this and think they are an excellent option for those that prefer non-gritty scrubs! It's amazing how something so gentle can buff away the dull top layer of skin. This is a fabulous option for everyone in my opinion, especially those whose skin is so sensitive they can't handle anything abrasive. Your skin will literally feel so soft and hydrated after use--it's fabulous!
