Sally Hansen Profile
Most of you are probably very familiar with Sally Hansen, a popular drugstore brand that produces beauty products and tools. When I think of Sally Hansen the first thing that comes to mind is their polish and it's rare to find a drugstore or large store (just as Target) that doesn't carry them. Today I'm reviewing several shades from their Insta-Dri line.

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Swatches and Review
Product Type

Shades

Application
These are all meant to be 1-coaters. I found that all but Chop Chop Copper offered complete opacity with 1 coat. Chop Chop Copper was the odd man out as it was sheer. I found that of the 2 duochromes, No S-pear time offered a noticeable flash with 1 coat, while Jet Set Jade just wouldn't give up that pretty purple flash even with 2 coats.
The Brush
Where to start with the brush. Sally Hansen has put a special "Perfectionist Brush" in these bottles that reminds me of something similar to OPI's pro wide brushes. I've always found these brushes really difficult because I have super narrow nails. I'm not sure if you can tell in pictures, but those wide brushes are almost a wide as my nails, but not quite. Anyway, I did get the hand of working with these brushes fairly quickly (having had to practice with more than a few pro wide ones in the past), but I noticed that all of my brushes were a bit wonky. I'm not sure if this was just a crazy coincidence or if it was a major problem with this line, but for the most part it didn't affect my ability to apply polish with them.

You can see the end is neither rounded or flat. Some were worse than others, but all were a bit odd. |

My Thoughts
I was very impressed with all of these polishes but Chop Chop Copper, which wasn't bad, but wasn't opaque, so a bit hard to enjoy as much a the others. All of these, except Chop Chop Copper, were 1-coaters (which is not something I often come across). The finish was fairly glossy once dry, though I personally like a really shiny top coat so I would still put one on. I was incredibly impressed that No S-pear Time actually offered a duo flash on the nail! It was too bad Jet Set Jade's pretty purple flash didn't translate to the nail, but it's still pretty. These did dry on me in about 1 minute, which is super convenient. To me, these are the kinds of polishes you could throw on before heading out the door or while waiting in the carpool line at your son/daughter's school. Especially for being drugstore and being reasonably priced, I think it's worth giving at least one a shot!
Have you tried any of the shades in this Sally Hansen Formula before? What did you think?
