OCC Profile

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a cruelty-free, vegan cosmetic brand that creates stellar products for pro and consumer use. Products range from foundation to loose shadow; glitter to lip products. OCC is probably best known for their unique lip tars aka revolutionary lippies that are a hyper pigmented liquid lipstick products. I have been a long-time fan and you may remember I recently shared that OCC would be releasing Sephora-exclusive mini sets this month. I've been dying to get my hands on them and OCC was generous enough to send me the 4 piece set--currently available on Sephora.com and in-store.

You may notice in some of the swatches below that I had to change my lighting in order to best capture the actual shades of these lip tars for you guys. Just ignore it and focus in on the gorgeous lip colors!

OCC Lip Tar in Anime - neon pink

OCC Lip Tar in NSFW - primary red (slightly more neutral undertone than translated by my camera here)

OCC Lip Tar in BLack Dahlia - deep plum

On the Lip

Anime - This is perfection on the lips. Easy to apply and super pigmented. It's is incredibly bright and just ... gorgeous!

Memento - This is a really nice nude shade that I think will complement a number of complexions because it has a decent amount of pink in it. 

NSFW - If you want red-red, this is it! I find my camera can't pick up just how neutral some reds are even though I use bulbs that aren't warm. Either way, this is the epitome of red and in my opinion, a must-have in any kit or collection.

Black Dahlia - This is a really interesting, vampy plum. Though it is incredibly pigmented, because it's such a dark shade I strongly suggest using a complementary liner underneath it to achieve the most even finish. This color is fabulous and rich--love it.

My Thoughts

This set is well-priced and perfect for those that want to either expand their existing collections or dip their toes into the lip tar pool! The variety of shades is great and all 4 of these are beautiful. I can't stress enough how much I love these mini lip tar sets. I cannot wait to get my hands on the 12 piece set, which launches on the 22nd of this month. This would make a perfect gift for yourself or a makeup lover in your life. OCC has done a phenomenal job in putting this set together!
