Moody Sisters Organic Skincare Review Natural Intense Dry Skin Cream, Lime Lip Balm, Organic Grapefruit Foaming Sugar Scrub

Moody Sisters Organic Skincare Profile

Moody Sisters is a natural skincare line developed and handmade in fresh weekly batches by 2 sisters based in Washington state. Inspired by their own struggles to find the right skin care for their differing needs, they've created a line of products for those suffering from anything from eczema to acne--and everything in between. Their products are natural, toxic chemical-free and paraben-free.

Moody Sisters Natural Intense Dry Skin Cream Review

Product Type

Intense body cream for dry and eczema-prone skin.

Scent

This is listed in 2 scents in their store (Almond and Vanilla Orange). I received Almond, but I have to say this is the yummiest smelling lotion I've come across in a long time and not a stereotypical Almond scent! It actually smells a bit like a chai latte. I thought at first I was nuts, but Hubs thought the same thing! It's subtle and sweet and literally smells good enough to eat. Totally in love!

On the Body

This is one of the silkiest natural lotions I've come across this year. Many of the natural lotions I've tried/reviewed have been slightly waxy. I found this to be incredibly luxe and instantly hydrating. I tested this on the entire family (we all have dry, sensitive skin and both my kids have eczema) and found it exceeded my expectations. It left everyone's skin insanely hydrated and it even helped with the eczema my kids both suffer with.

This is a thicker lotion and while it is not greasy once dry, if you don't have dry skin and prefer thinner lotions you may want to consider Moody Sister's Face & Body Cream as it's a bit lighter (I received a sample as you can see in the first picture). For those with dry skin, the Intense Dry Skin Cream is a miracle worker!

Ingredients

Oil Blend (Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil), *Cocoa Butter, *Aloe Juice, Beeswax, *Green Tea Extract, Borax, Vitamin E, Oats Extract, Essential Oils (* denotes organic)

Price

This retails for $13 for 2 oz or $19 for 4 oz

Where to Buy

This is available on Moody Sister's site HERE

My Thoughts

Simply put, I am head-over-heels for this body cream! It is hands-down one of the best I've reviewed this year and the most popular one my entire family has used. While it's undoubtedly a perfect fall/winter body cream, I have dry enough skin that I'd use it year-round. We will be purchasing more as soon as it's gone--no question! This has made my #holygrail list of skincare products and I'm a picky one.

Moody Sisters Organic Grapefruit Foaming Sugar Scrub Review

Product Type

Skin refining face and body scrub

Scent

This has a very light grapefruit scent with a tiny bit of sweetness to it. I'm a huge fan of citrus and find grapefruit so refreshing. This is light enough that those that prefer more subtle citrus scents will likely love it as well.

In the Shower

The directions instruct you to take a small scoop, mix with a bit of water (I did this in the palm of my hand), then massage it into your face or body. It's actually very impressive, without the use of sulfates this scrub actually foams a bit! I found this worked well as a whole-body polisher and left my skin feeling freshly exfoliated.

Ingredients

*Demerara Sugar, *Castile Soap Peppermint, Oil Blend (Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil), *Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, *Cocoa Butter, Beeswax, Essential Oils (* denotes organic)

Price

This retails for $11.50 for 2 oz

Where to Buy

This is available on Moody Sister's website HERE

My Thoughts

If you love sugar scrubs like me (I always have at least a couple in my shower) then this is a must-try! The scent is pleasant yet subtle and it works so well to exfoliate and polish your skin. If you have super sensitive skin like me, I recommend being gentle when you massage it into your face, but I didn't have an issue using it on my face or body. It's good stuff!

Moody Sisters Coconut Lime Lip Balm Review

Product Type

Hydrating, natural lip balm

Scent/Flavor

This has a fresh coconut-lime scent and does not have a sweetener in it. I could slightly taste the citrus in this.

On the Lips

This literally melts right into your lips the second it touches them. It's very hydrating, which is fabulous if you're like me and wear a lot of lippies!

Ingredients

Beeswax, Oil Blend (Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil), Shea Butter, *Coconut Oil, *Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, Essential Oils (* denotes organic)

Price

This retail for $4.95 per tube

Where to Buy

This can be purchased through Moody Sister's site HERE.

My Thoughts

This is a good lip balm and I love how quickly it melts into your lips. I also love that it doesn't include any ingredients I wouldn't want to ingest or have my little guys ingest. I've already added it to the arsenal of lip products I keep in my purse--remember the post I did on that? Oy vey...

I'm so impressed with Moody Sisters and have already spent some time exploring the rest of their products to decide what I want to try next! What about you? Will you be giving any of their products a try?
