Mehron Celebre 8 Blusher Palette Swatches & Review
Product Type
This is a palette of pro blush shades. These are pressed powder formulas.
Shades
![]() |
Top row of blushers, L to R - TropiCoral, RoseWood, Mocha, Contour |
![]() |
Bottom row of blushers, L to R - Mojave, WineBerry, JustPeachy, Bold Red |
On the Cheeks
These are all very pigmented and textures vary. I've broken them down below by shade:
- TropiCoral (soft coral) - this had a soft texture that translated onto the cheek
- RoseWood (rose) - this also had a soft texture which buffed easily into the skin
- Mocha (light mauve-y nude) - this had a slightly harder texture and it was the least pigmented, though pigmentation was still good
- Contour (light-medium gray-brown) - this was soft and a bit buttery with good pigmentation
- Mojave (burnt coral) - soft and buttery with great pigmentation
- WineBerry (vibrant medium pink) - also very buttery and pigmentation was amazing
- JustPeachy (orange) - slightly firmer but still slightly buttery and great pigmentation
- Bold Red (vibrant pink-red) - slightly buttery with amazing pigmentation

My Thoughts
The Mehron Celebre 8 Blusher Palette offers a really nice variety of cheek colors and I can easily see it becoming a favorite in any kit or collection. The colors are so nicely pigmented that I believe many will show up on even the deepest skin tones--which isn't always easy to find--and the textures are lovely. I appreciate the fact that Mehron includes transparent stickers on the mirrors of these palettes with the shade names on them! No more flipping your palette over to figure out which shade you've used. I've been a part of many conversations regarding Mehron's inclusion of such a teeny brush in a cheek palette. I'm not sure why that small paddle brush in included and I personally wouldn't use it to apply blush, but I'm sure you can easily find a use for it! Whether you're a pro or avid makeup lover, I highly recommend checking out the Celebre 8 Blusher Palette because it is fantastic.
Mehron L.I.P Day Palette Swatches & Review
Product Type
This is pro palette of 8 Mehron L.I.P. Creams. L.I.P. Creams are meant to be creamy, hydrating and long-lasting. They have no scent/flavor.
Shades
These are listed in the same order as the palette.
![]() |
Cotton Candy - white-based pink |
![]() |
Bubble Gum - neon flamingo pink |
![]() |
Sunburst - neon watermelon (slightly more pink in person - my camera was freaking out over the neons) |
![]() |
Autumn Sun - deep coral (another hard color to capture) |
![]() |
Natural - nude (this is actually only slightly deeper than my natural lip color, my lips are not very pigmented on their own) |
![]() |
Petal Pink - pink-leaning mauve |
![]() |
Fiesta - dusty magenta |
On the Lip
These are all beautifully pigmented with just a thin layer or two! The texture is unique, it's very creamy and there is a lot of slip--it almost feels like the base may have silicones in it. The only color that could potentially require a little extra care was Cotton Candy because it is such a white-based pink. I was able to get all 8 to work well for me and they didn't budge a bit! These are light as a feather on and they are not drying. While I have a handful of preferred lip brushes, in the spirit of giving you guys a complete review I used the lip brush that comes in the palette to apply all of my swatches. It wasn't bad! While I typically prefer a slightly smaller lip brush with a more crisp edge, I think the brush that comes with this palette could be a great substitute lip brush in a bind or a decent primary lip brush for those that don't already own one.

My Thoughts
I was absolutely shocked by how bright and vibrant some of these colors were--love it! Every color applied beautifully and all were extremely pigmented, though as I mentioned above Cotton Candy may require a bit more work due to its extremely white base. The variety of colors is great and the shades will complement a broad spectrum of complexions--making it a great palette for kits. The texture on these is so interesting and comfortable. I recommend applying these to hydrated, exfoliated lips as the formula is thin enough that it will not hide cracked or dry lips. Layering these over lip liner will obviously extend the wear significantly, but these did not bleed or feather on their own for me.
Mehron Velvet Finish Primer Serum
Product Type
This primer was created to offer skin beneficial characteristics while decreasing the appearance of fine lines and extending the wear of foundation.
On the Face
This primer has a clear, gel-like consistency. It glides onto the face and feels almost like a light, silicone-based moisturizer. Once applied, it gives skin a soft, velvety, hydrated feel. It visually blurs imperfections even before applying foundation--it was incredibly impressive! It paired well with several foundations I applied over it and the finish was lovely.
I used it the other day before taking face shots for my review of the BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold. In case you missed it, here's one of the shots I posted.
Price
The Mehron Velvet Finish Primer Serum retails for $22.50 (1 fl oz/30 mL) on LeCosmetique.com.

My Thoughts
I think this is a fantastic primer and the effect is amazing--I could literally see the difference right after application which is not always the case. The value is really good for the price and volume you get, especially given the quality. I highly recommend giving this a try because it is a wonderful primer!
What do you think? Will you be giving any of these Mehron products a try?

DeleteWow super pretty! I wonder if I could pull off the brighter ones...
ReplyDeleteWay back when I was training I was taught--anyone can wear any color, it all depends on application. I've really held that to heart all these years and believe it to be true! And you can always layer these over liners or under lip glosses to alter the colors--or mix if you want to get adventurous ;)
