Makeup Crush - Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope Brat Pack Lipstick

As you all know, I am a total makeup addict. While I can't say I like one category of makeup more than another, sometimes I find myself almost unable to control myself when it comes to lipstick (shadows as well).

When I think phenomenal lipstick, the first name that comes to mind is Poppy King! Creator of the brand Lipstick Queen, I have had the pleasure of reviewing some of her lipsticks and glosses in the past. They are, without a doubt, some of the most comfortable and lovely I've ever worked with.

Well, Poppy King just created some new lippy masterpieces that I am beside myself over! I have to share because ... they're just that amazing!

Lipstick Queen Velvet Rope

The collection, called Velvet Rope, was inspired by the golden years in Hollywood. If you know me well, you know this is hands-down one of the most inspiring periods to me in terms of makeup. It's only natural that I would be drawn to a lipstick collection inspired by one of the things that inspires me most as well!

There are a total of 5 lipsticks in this collection so far. While they're all gorgeous (and if I had my choice I'd own them all), I've narrowed down my favorites to 2!

I know what you're going to say--the price. Yes, this would be the most expensive lipstick I have ever owned. Is it worth it to everyone? I'd imagine not. We all have our own interests and things we're willing to spend the big bucks on (remember when gold leaf polish was the thing?). Is it something I'd someday personally like to own? Yes! And hey, my birthday is coming up soon so if anyone wants to grab it for me, I'll just send you my address--joking of course!
