BECCA Profile
BECCA was founded by makeup artist Rebecca Morrice Williams back in 2001. The brand offers a fairly comprehensive spectrum of foundation, cheek and lip shades along with other complementary beauty products.
For the holidays, BECCA has released a beautiful limited edition Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in rose gold. As many of you know, rose gold is incredibly trendy right now so this is perfect for the holidays!

Limited Edition BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Gold Swatches & Review
Product Type
This is a shimmery luminizer meant to be used all over the face or as a highlighter.
Shade
This holiday compact comes in a limited edition rose gold shade. This will appear different on different complexions in my opinion.

Colors like this tend to melt into my beige skin. |
On the Face
As I mentioned above, I think this will have a different effect on different complexions! As I have a cool-neutral beige complexion, this adds a warm glow that is super flattering--BECCA does this effect well. For someone fairer, the actual color of this shade will probably be a bit more pronounced. As its name suggests, this does have a shimmery finish. It's not chunky or "glittery", but there is noticeable shimmer. I didn't find it over-emphasized skin texture or pores on my face. I liked using this on my cheekbones layered over my blush and on my forehead and the bridge of my nose as a highlighter.
I've taken a few face shots so you can see how nicely it worked over my blush, adding a warm glow to my cheeks and the parts of my face I chose to use it to highlight.
Shimmer Skin Perfector Pressed Compact Size vs. BECCA Mineral Blush
If you're a fan of BECCA, you may already own one of my favorite products they produce--their mineral blushes! I previously reviewed one HERE in fact--so lovely, try them if you haven't already. The Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed compacts are significantly larger than the mineral blushes. I've taken a comparison shot for you so you can see for yourself! Given that one is a cheek product and one is technically a face product, it's nice that the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed's come in a larger compact.

My Thoughts
This is a beautiful face product that creates such a lovely, warm glow! As you can see above, it results in a "lit from within" effect that complements skin rather than emphasizing pores and skin texture I love this type of effect in the winter--makes me think of chilly days and flushed cheeks from cozy fires or hot cider! That contrast of cold and hot is perfection to me in the cold months. I definitely recommend grabbing this while it's available because it's so pretty and perfect for winter or summer--yay versatility!
What do you think? Have you tried any of BECCA's Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed products? Will you be grabbing this one?
