Fabulous Fall Beauty Vol 4: Facial Moisturizers

Products in this post were provided by PR/the brand

Now that fall is here, I have to be extra careful to make sure I keep my face moisturized! And while we have many rainy days, we also have plenty of sunny ones as well, so remembering to keep up on my sun protection is also a must.

I've put together a list of the 4 current face moisturizers that I rotate between during the day as of right now, all of which offer great hydration and 2 of which offer protection from the sun! Why do I rotate between several? For starters it depends on the state of my skin that day. Some days it requires more hydration, some days it's more irritated, some days I know I'll be outside or driving more than others (and need SPF), etc.

Chella Day Cream Replenishing Hydrator SPF 25 for Dry Skin

My Thoughts

This is a great face moisturizer that is hydrating, smoothing, and offers SPF 25! I'm actually wearing this today because I'm spending the afternoon chaperoning a field trip for my youngest to an apple orchard (an annual must if you live up here!) and I know I'll get a little sun.

I did a full review of it earlier this year, which you can view HERE if you're interested in learning more.

Price

This retail for $85 for 50 ml/1.7 fl oz

Where to Buy

This can be purchased directly from Chella's site HERE.

Kaia 24hr Face Cream/Primer (matte)

My Thoughts

You guys may recognize this from a giveaway I hosted not too long ago. It is one of my all-time favorite face creams, which doubles as a matte primer. It is gluten-free, natural, hydrating, AND matte! It's not often that I find mattifying products that my skin can handle (since most dry out my skin), but I use this fairly frequently and adore it. It does not offer SPF so I always wear SPF over it or I wear it on days I'm not venturing outside for too long.

Price

This retails for $36 for 50mL or 1.7 fl oz

Where to Buy

You can purchase this directly through Kaia's site HERE

Algenist Regenerative Anti-Aging Moisturizer

My Thoughts

This is one of the most instantly-hydrating face moisturizers I've come across in 2013. It makes your skin feel silky and supple. Algenist also state that it has anti-aging properties. While I can't attest to whether or not this is the fountain of youth in a jar, I can tell you that the texture of my skin does improve with use of this moisturizer. As this does not contain SPF I use this on day I'm not going to be out in the sun or in conjunction with sunscreen over it. Algenist does offer a version of this moisturizer with SPF 20, so you may want to consider picking that up if you're considering this moisturizer. I personally haven't tried it.

Price

This retails for $90 for 60 mL/2 fl oz.

Where to Buy

This can be purchased on Algenist's webite HERE or through Sephora HERE

Votre Vu En Garde SPF 30 (waterproof)

My Thoughts

This is moisturizing and offers the highest level of sun protection. It smells lovely and it's light-weight on your face. I know I've mentioned this in the past, but it's still one of my go-to favorites! Unlike other facial sunscreens I've used in the past, this does not dull my complexion at all and plays well with my foundations (liquid and cream).

Price

This retails for $29 for 35 mL/1.18 fl oz

Where to Buy

This is available directly through Votre Vu's site HERE

What's your go-to fall facial moisturizer? Have you tried any of these?

    1. I'm a pretty big fan! I think I own/have owned about 6 of their products? Everything but one cleanser (which was a tad too harsh but worked well for one of my sisters) has worked really well for me!

  8. I'm a stickler for my Clinique moisturizer, but these sound awesome. A little pricy, but hey... if it works! The cost of beauty is never too high!
