L to R: Bye Bye Under Eye, Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream |
With fall right around the corner and summer coming to a close, it can be hard to make a smooth transition from one season into the next. New colors, textures, skin care needs, etc.--all of these things come into play as the seasons change. My goal with this series is to give you guys some ideas on products or colors you may want to integrate into your beauty and skincare routines as the weather grows cooler. Each post in this series features a look and then highlights the individual products used (with a brief review of each). All posts in this series can be found under the "Fall Transitional Beauty" tab if you'd like to see past posts. Hopefully you'll find this helpful and as always, please feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

The Look
Look Description
This look is very natural and simple. While I'm a big fan of color, there are some days when I just want something ... easy! Despite the fact that summer is coming to a close, the sun is still very strong and we should continue to protect our skin from its harsh effects. As many of you know, I have to be careful about my sun exposure despite my medium complexion, so I love that this CC Cream offers nice beefy SPF protection.
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+
![]() |
IT Cosmetics CC+ in Medium |
Product Type
IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better is a color correcting cream with SPF 50. It is meant to deliver full coverage and be worn under foundation or alone.
Shade
Medium is a medium beige that does not lean super warm, but I would say it has an almost neutral undertone.
Scent
This does have a light scent that I couldn't quite identify, but it is not unpleasant and does not linger once it sets.
Application
This CC Cream is fairly thick, but I've found many CC Creams to be this way. Despite being fairly thick it is very smooth and easy to blend into your complexion. I had no issues covering my entire face with one pump's worth of product. I used a synthetic foundation brush, but I'm sure this could be applied with your fingers if that is your preference.I wanted to quickly note that despite the fact that this comes in a tube, it actually has a pump and you do not squeeze it to dispense the CC+. It took a bit to get my pump to begin dispensing product, but once it started I found that I didn't have any issues with the packaging.

Coverage
I used a moderate layer of Your Skin But Better CC+ all over my face and achieved medium coverage. Had I applied it thicker I think I would have been able to achieve near-full coverage. My skin is actually fairly even naturally so I'm not sure what coverage it would lend to those that struggle with uneven complexions. I would assume it would offer reasonable coverage (medium to near-full coverage), but I'm unable to tell you from personal experience.
Wear
I did not have any irritation with this product. It's not quite as lightweight as super thin foundations and pigmented face creams I've reviewed in the past, but it does not feel heavy or cause your face to feel warm (I have sensitive skin so many products leave my face irritated and hot). This sets to a semi-dewy finish, which I like, but if you prefer a matte finish you'll want to mattify after application.

My Thoughts
I like this! I think it offers a natural finish and the shade was actually quite complementary. I have to rave for a quick second because one of my major complaints with so many face products that include SPF is that they use chemical SPF rather than barrier ingredients. Your Skin But Better CC+ actually uses zinc and titanium dioxide! I was so excited to see that. I think this is a great year-round face product that will appeal to those that want a more even complexion and a decent amount of protection from the sun. I don't think that the dewy finish is a downside, but it's something to keep in mind if you prefer a matte finish.
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye
![]() |
Bye Bye Under Eye in neutral medium |
Product Type
Bye Bye Under Eye is a waterproof under eye concealer.
Shade
Neutral Medium is a light, somewhat-cool medium beige.
Application
I patted this under my eyes in an upside-down triangle shape (to lift the eyes). It's thick like most under eye concealers I've tried, but very creamy. I did not find it tugged at my under eye skin during application. I recommend patting rather than swiping if possible. This can be worn both under or over foundation. I tend to wear products like this under my face products. It didn't set super fast and provided ample time to blend it out. Setting powder is recommended.
Coverage
While this did provide decent coverage, I found it resulted in a semi-noticeable light gray cast under my eyes which could be seen in-person, but did not transfer in photographs. I have gray-brown pigmentation under my eyes that typically requires color correction. This may work better for someone with different pigmentation under their eyes. I did find that this had a semi-shiny finish once set, so setting powder is a must.
Wear
This did not cause irritation and it did seem to brighten my under eye area despite the slight gray cast. It did not have a super heavy feel. If you look at my face above you can see a semi-noticeable crease under each eye. This is actually a tiny bit more obvious in person. I find that most under eye products settle into this crease and Bye Bye Under Eye was no exception. If you have a problem like this there are many tips and tricks you can utilize to help with this (such as applying setting spray to the area with a brush prior to applying concealer or spraying the brush used to apply the concealer with setting spray right beforehand then sealing it all in with setting spray again after). As the day progressed I did find that it settled into some other super small creases under my eye, but it did not flake on me and was not drying--a huge plus.

Where to Buy

My Thoughts
I think Bye Bye Under Eye could work on its own for others that don't have the same issues I have (gray-brown pigmentation and a noticeable crease under each eye), but for me I would have to color correct prior to using it. That's not a huge deal given that I have to color correct anyway, but it's something to note if you have similar concerns and want a one-step product. I do like the consistency of this product and I really like that it doesn't feel drying--which is often something I've found with other under eye concealers. All in all I think that this product could be perfect for some on its own and good for others with an extra step or two.
Have you tried IT Cosmetics before? Will you be adding either of these products into your summer-to-fall transitional beauty routine?
