Swatch & Review: Cult Nails Clairvoyant Flaked Glitter

Update (12/8) - The lovely Maria of Cult Nails tweeted me and let me know that Clairvoyant should be back in stock in February!

I am SO excited about this review because I waited weeks to purchase Clairvoyant. It first caught my eye when it was released as Unicorn Puke and blew up in the blogosphere! I was super bummed I missed it (still hoping it somehow resurfaces under this name or that another future polish has an equally hilarious name), but I was determined to snatch it up when it went on sale individually on Black Friday. Sure enough, I sat myself down half an hour before midnight, credit card in hand, hitting refresh every few minutes. Finally at midnight it made its appearance on the site and  I was able to score 2 bottles, checking out with swift success, much to my delight! My Cult Nails package came last night and the moment Hubs handed me the box I could barely contain myself. I tore into it, but restrained myself enough to take pictures for you all ;) Let me introduce or re-introduce you to Cult Nails Clairvoyant...

Cult Nails Clairvoyant

As you can see, Clairvoyant literally ignites the second light hits it! Aaaah so fabulous!

Color description
Clairvoyant has a sheer, jelly-like purple base with an explosion o multi-colored flaked glitter. It's a shattered rainbow in a nail polish bottle!

Application/Effect
This applies much like any other flaked glitter, which to me is easier to apply than normal glitter because it applies the flakes fairly evenly without much fussing and pushing around with the brush. The overall effect once applied is nothing short of amazing! You probably already know how much I loved flaked glitter if you follow my blog. Clairvoyant definitely curbs my craving for flakies ;)

Cult Nails Clairvoyant over Zoya Savita - Wow! That's all I can say! Imagine this in person--amazing!

Price
Cult Nails Clairvoyant is priced at $10 retail--worth every penny!

Where to Buy
Clairvoyant can be purchased directly from Cult Nails on their site HERE

Final Thoughts
I'm in love, is it obvious? I can't say enough about this polish. I really hope Cult Nails comes out with more flakies soon because I can never have enough! Also, if you don't already follow Cult Nails on twitter you really should! Maria Morrison, owner of Cult Nails, is a blast to follow. I loved that she was involved in handing out Thanksgiving turkeys in her community! So fabulous. You can see her twitter profile HERE. I know that Clairvoyant is current sold out, but definitely check back on the site if you NEED Clairvoyant. I can't imagine it'll stay that way for too, too long with so many polish-lovers dying to get their hands on it! Great job, Cult Nails! You've got me hooked ;)

What do you think? Do you prefer flaked glitter over traditional glitter?

  1. OMG how gorgeous! I'm not usually a fan of glitter but I want it. It looks like opal, so pretty.

  2. Right? I'm not a huge glitter fan in general and I'm definitely kind of over it after all the glitters we've seen this year, but flaked glitter is my one exception! I adore flaked glitter ;) Definitely opal-like (my birthstone!). If you like this Nails Inc. has some gorgeous flaked glitters to tide you over until Clairvoyant is back in stock in February!
