2015 Holiday Gift Guide: Hair & Skin Care

I am completely neurotic when it comes to my own hair and skin care products--after all, it's easier to maintain than repair! So when the holidays come rolling around I love to give skin care products from some of my favorite brands to those in my life that appreciate good hair and skin care. I do find that the holidays provide a fabulous opportunity to score some amazing hair and skin care sets at amazing values, making it easier to gift when compared to individual retail prices.

Check out some of our top hair and skin care gift picks and don't forget to check back soon for additional gift guides!

1. Davines Love Smoothing Beauty Holiday Set

holiday gift guide 2015 davines love smooth beauty holiday set

We have featured Davines before and had followers tell us how much they loved it after giving it a shot, so when we saw they were releasing fabulous sets for the holidays we knew we had to include them! We chose to highlight the Love Smooth Beauty set, but Davines released 4 sets that gift givers can choose from--MINU, Love Smoothing, NONOU and OI. I can tell you from experience, giving Davines for the holidays is always a hit! While our set didn't come with the coordinating bag, each set comes with a pretty travel bag ($25 value) in addition to 3 hair products.

You can check out our review on their entire OI line.

Price - $70 retail

2.  First Aid Beauty Peace, Joy & FAB Kit

holiday gift guide 2015 first aid beauty peace, joy & fab kit

If you're looking for a fairly complete skin care kit to gift this holiday season First Aid Beauty has assembled a well-rounded set that includes:
  • 2 oz face cleanser
  • 6 oz ultra repair cream
  • 28 ct. facial radiance pads
  • 2 oz vitamin hydrating mist
  • 1.7 oz ultra repair hydra-firm sleeping cream
At a value of $109 and a price tag of only $54, this kit is priced at less than 50% of its retail value and includes a pretty great selection of products. I love that it includes both a day and night cream as well as facial pads that include both lactic and glycolic acids (huge fan of chemical exfoliation here!).  Overall, worth a peek if you're looking for something skin related to gift this holiday season.

Price - $54
Where to Buy - Sephora/ (currently sold out, but check in store!)

3. Pacifica Limited Edition Holiday Hand Cream Trio

holiday gift guide 2015 pacifica limited edition holiday hand cream trio
I am a huge fan of Pacifica hand and body creams. They're beautifully scented, hydrating and don't contain some of the ingredients I try to avoid in my skin care products. This trio is great because the recipient gets to experience 3 delicious scents AND their travel-friendy sizes (2.25 oz) make them airplane friendly! Just make sure you put them in a quart-size ziploc. ;) If you don't want to give the entire set to one person, I like to buy sets like this and split them up so that I can create customized little gift bags. At $18 for the set that's only $6 per person, so plenty of room to spend a little more for some extra goodies!

Price - $18
Where to Buy - Ulta/

4. Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Duo

holiday gift guide 2015 dr. jart+ ceramidin duo

With cold weather here (or coming soon) this little duo is a great skincare gift in our opinions! It includes a full-size Ceramidin Mint Lipair as well as a mini Ceramidin Oil Balm--perfectly purse-sized. We're sticklers about hydrated skin and lips and faces tend to take quite the beating during the winter, so this little duo immediately caught our eye--especially with its under $20 price tag. This could be a great budget-friendly teacher's gift or perfect office swap idea.

Price - $18 retail
Where to Buy - Sephora/

5. Origins Power Anti-Agers Set

holiday gift guide 2015 origins power anti-agers set

  • 0.17 oz, Plantscription™ Youth-Renewing Face Oil, 0.5 oz
We are all about travel-friendly beauty and all of these products are perfectly sized for jet-setting during the holiday season! This set is also priced at less than 50% of its retail value, so an amazing deal to boot!

holiday gift guide 2015 pacifica travel-size hand & body wipes

Again, we're all about travel-friendly hydration! How many times have you gotten on a plane and your skin suddenly starts screaming out for moisture? Forget having to deal with TSA, these moisturizing wipes are travel-friendly, purse-friendly and skin-loving! I throw these in my purse and travel bags and they really help in a cinch. Grab them individually or in a set and separate them out into customized gift bags!

Price -  $7-14 (varies by count/set)

7. Origins Handy Hydrators

holiday gift guide 2015 origins handy hydrators
As I'm sure you can tell, we're really digging these pint-size tubes of moisturizer that can be given in a set or split up and placed in customized holiday gift bags! Origins makes some of our favorite hand and body lotions (Gloomaway Grapefruit Body Souffle has been my personal favorite for over 15 years) and these little hand lotions are fantastic. The set offers great variety--from anti-aging to warm and spicy--and would make a wonderful gift for parents, teachers, friends ... anyone!
